7th June 2017

At last night’s meeting, the Executive Committee reviewed the Society’s position in respect of ticket sales for our forthcoming show, “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels”, which opens two weeks tomorrow.

The results are not where we expected or hoped them to be at this point and whilst we are optimistic that ticket-sales will continue over the next 14 days, we have to keep our expectations realistic and make sure that we concentrate on the ‘audience experience’ of those who are coming to see the show.

To make sure that “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” is enjoyed by everyone who comes to see it, Committee has taken the decision to close the dress circle and reallocate those people who have booked circle seats into the stalls. The theatre’s box office staff have been working throughout the day contacting those patrons who booked directly with the theatre and our Ticket Secretary, Anne Copley, is working with the box office staff to reallocate the Society bookings.

We trust that members will understand and support this decision and do their level best to sell as many tickets as they can in the next 14 days for what will be a great spectacle.

On behalf of the Executive Committee
